Dutch National Portrait Award

For 2012

The National Portrait award goes to the photographer that has made the most significant portrait of a Dutch person during the past year. With this award, the  Silver Camera organisation intends to provide Dutch portrait photography with an extra incentive.

Dutch National Portrait Award

Stephan Vanfleteren won this important award for 2012 with a portrait of the Dutch architect and urban developer, Rem Koolhaas. The photograph will be displayed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The jury of the National Portrait Award called it “a sculpture, a marble bust” in their comments.
